Jesus Is Lord

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the student to teacher ratio?

The preschool strives to maintain a 6:1 or lower student to adult ratio: 6:1 for Pre-K classes, 6:1 for 3 year old classes, and 4:1 for 2 year old classes, with a teacher and a full-time assistant teacher as numbers will allow.

How do you handle child allergies?

Our preschool is a peanut free facility.  Food allergies will be addressed with each individual class.  All snacks are kept in the original packaging. An allergy action plan is implemented for each student with a food allergy.

Do you offer any tuition discounts?

The preschool offers a 10% discount if tuition is paid in full on or before the first day of class.  We also offer a 10% discount for a second sibling.

Do you offer a payment plan for tuition?

Yes, we offer an installment plan with partial payments due in September, November and February.

Are snacks provided?

Snacks are provided on a rotational basis by each child in the classroom.  A monthly schedule will be included with the calendar on the back of each newsletter.

What type of snacks should I bring?

Simple healthy snacks are encouraged.  Snack examples are: graham crackers, carrots, fruit, pretzels, goldfish, etc.

Do the classes go on field trips?

Our preschool classes will take several field trips throughout the year.  Transportation is provided by the church mini bus with additional parent drivers as needed.  Cost of any field trips is shared with the preschool occasionally resulting in a small fee.  The two year old preschool classes will not participate in any field trips throughout the school year.

How is information communicated to the parents?
  • Monthly newsletter and calendar
  • Daily activities listed on classroom information board
  • Weekly Review newsletter for Pre-K students

Which School Districts are serviced by your program?

Our preschool is centrally located between four different school districts.  We are located in the Lampeter-Strasburg school district.  A majority of our students are from the Lampeter-Strasburg district, but we also have students from Solanco School District, Penn Manor School District and the School District of Lancaster.

When does registration open?

Registration opens in early January for children of current or former Preschool families and members of WSUCC.

Registration for new families opens on January 22 this year.
