Our Mission Emphasis for January

 "lancaster County Council of Churches"

   

   The mission of the Service Ministries is to serve as the outreach arm of the LCCC, seeking to identify and meet the human needs of people in the greater Lancaster area regardless of their color, race or creed. Service Ministries attempts to meet human needs with the love, support and healing of Jesus Christ.

SERVICES INCLUDE:

 * Food Banks   *Prescription Assistance for life threathening illnesses

 * Clothing Banks     * Utilities Assistance (when funding is available)

 * Rent Assistance    * Transportation - locally for new jobs

 * Community Meals  * And now winter shelter for the homeless

   Please make contribution checks payable to Willow Street UCC. Thank you for your continued support of our monthly mission.


 

The Lancaster County Food Bank

is always in need of food

      

An updated suggested list is: peanut butter, frozen or canned ham, turkey or chicken, canned fruit, vegetables or beans, spaghetti sauce, kid friendly microwaveable entrees,    1 gallon Ziploc bags, 33 gallon plastic trash bags, brown paper grocery bags (new or used), plastic grocery bags (new or used). Please bring your donation and place in the baskets marked  Feed the Hungry”.

 

    The third Sunday of the month is Food Bank Sunday.  Please donate any non-perishable food items and help fill up the shelves. Thank you for your support of this very needy ministry.
